Bishop Jarris Shaw Sr. is a powerful preacher, prolific psalmist, and tenacious teacher of the word of God! He was raised in the church by a single mother, Ms. Kimberlyn Shaw, and was known to preach even as a little boy from his great-grand parent’s porch to crowds of people who would gather to hear him speak. As he grew older, Bishop Shaw became famed as a soloist in churches and other arenas. His musical accomplishments include performing for the Coca-Cola Company in honor of Bishop Desmond Tutu and Ambassador Andrew Young, performing on the soundtrack for Paramount’s “Fighting Temptations,” and becoming baritone quartet member in the Morehouse College Quartet as well as a soloist in the Morehouse College Glee Club. He has also provided background vocals for many of gospel music’s greatest!
Although Bishop Shaw received his calling to the ministry at an early age, he waited until his KAIROS moment. That day was September 28, 2003, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, where he served as Minister of Music under the leadership of Pastor Timothy Flemming Sr. Soon after he was ordained into the Gospel Ministry, he begin serving wherever needed. He was later ordained as an Elder in the Lord’s Church under the apostolic covering of Apostle B. Dwayne Hardin and Millennium Masters, where he serves as the Overseer of Prophetic Development. He is the founder of J. Shaw Ministries, The GOD Encounter Conference, The GOD Encounter Prophetic School, and The GOD Encounter, which is a monthly service that caters to those seeking a deeper knowledge and experience with God through intimate worship and practical revelatory teaching. In 2018 he founded Kingdom Covenant Church of Atlanta along with his wife Pastor LaNida Shaw. Bishop Shaw's ministry has been seen globally on The Word Network, and daily devotionals on Facebook and other social media sites. He is the husband of Pastor LaNida Shaw, and father to Zaria Williams, Jarris Shaw Jr, Laiyah Shaw, and Jayden Shaw.
Pastor La'Nida Shaw is a powerful preacher and teacher of the word of God. She is a devoted wife to her husband, Bishop Jarris Shaw, as she also serves as Pastor at Kingdom Covenant Church of Atlanta, founded in 2018. Rising in her ministerial career, Pastor Shaw has and is currently spearheading the GLAM Conference. She has also taught and has spoken for many women's conferences as well as serving as a consultant for many other leading ladies and First Ladies in the city of Atlanta.
Pastor La'Nida, affectionately known as "Pastor L", is also the leading host of her podcast series "No Shade, All Shine". Pastor Shaw is not just a powerful preacher and teacher of the word of God, and not only devoted to her husband and church, but she is an amazing mother of four beautiful children, Zaria Williams, Jarris Shaw Jr, Laiyah Shaw, and Jayden Shaw.
Pastor Shaw has a tenacious way of ushering God's people into his presence and is living proof of the goodness and faithfulness of God.
